PM Announces his Candidacy to Run for Prime Minister in 2023

KAMPONG SPEU: Prime Minister Hun Sen has officially announced his candidacy for the 2023 elections and his intention to continue as the Prime Minister of Cambodia for the seventh term from 2023-2028, while also confirming that the future prime ministerial candidacy will be discussed after 2023.

He made this announcement while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of National Road No. 51, connecting Udong of Kandal province to Thnal Toteung of Kampong Speu province, on Friday morning (25 March).

Cambodia will hold its next parliamentary elections in 2023, when the country will vote for a new cabinet to lead the country for the next five year term.
